Born in Laredo, Texas Barbara Kelso grew up hearing about the tales of her ancestors who immigrated from England, Holland, and Spain to help build the great state of Texas. These rich stories impressed upon Barbara a deep commitment to the people who like her ancestors were the builders, creators, makers, innovators, and entrepreneurs who grew great commerces, intuitions and States.
Upon graduating from the University of Texas, Barbara has influenced the culture of Austin, Texas as an entrepreneur, conscious commerce pioneer, environmentalist and global citizen. Her first multi-million company, Ann Kelso, Inc. was the platform on which she built her reputation, experiencing unprecedented success with double digit percentage growth year after year for 20 straight years. As a city builder Barbara was recognized for her efforts to help build the Austin culture and environment of conscious commerce, and was nominated for Texas Business Woman of the Year.
In 2010 Barbara was invited to join EO, Entrepreneurs' Organization, and was quickly recognized for her record breaking performances in each position assigned, and was propelled to a Global Director position to support over 10,000 member companies worldwide.
Kelso Consultants opened its doors in 2010. Since then Kelso has facilitated the success of startups and women leaders worldwide.
